Mursix Names New President
Mursix Corp., Yorktown, IN, has promoted Jeff Frost to president. Frost, formerly the company’s director of operations, will report to CEO Todd Murray. As president, Frost will focus on improving processes and expertise to help Mursix customers remain competitive in their markets, while also leading efforts to grow the company’s business in new markets, including the electric-vehicle and medical-device industries.

Metal Stamping and Lube Conference Hotel Deadline Extended to March 17
PMA and MetalForming magazine’s popular Metal Stamping and Lubrication Technology Conference is all set for March 29-30, in Cincinnati, OH. Note that the hotel deadline for the conference has been extended to Thursday, March 17.

Strength and stiffness represent important properties of engineered components, but they have different meanings and describe different phenomena. Using these terms interchangeably may lead to incorrect conclusions. Simply put: Strength is a plastic response to loading, while stiffness is an elastic response.
