Metal Formers Forecast a Rise in Average Daily Shipping Levels |
According
to the September 2022 Precision Metalforming Association Business
Conditions Report, metal forming companies, while continuing to expect
little change in business conditions for the next three months, report a
rebound in average daily shipping levels. Thirty-two percent of those
surveyed report an increase in shipping levels (compared to 19 percent
in August), while only 17 percent report a decrease in shipping levels
(compared to 30 percent in August). |

Nominate Women of Excellence in Metal Forming and Fabricating |
MetalForming magazine,
in conjunction with the Women in Manufacturing Association, is seeking
nominations for its 7th Annual Women of Excellence in Metal Forming and
Fabricating Awards, to run as a special section in the December 2022
issue. The section will feature and honor those selected as a means to
recognize and promote the importance of women in the metal forming and
fabricating industries. The nomination deadline is October 14. |

ECI Acquires Makers of Alora and Lojic Dashboards |
ECI
Software Solutions, provider of business-management products and
services, has announced two acquisitions on behalf of its manufacturing
division. The acquisitions include Erie, PA-based Data Inventions, maker
of the Alora machine-intelligence platform, and Meadville, PA-based
Lojic, maker of Lojic Dashboards, a customizable dashboard product that
assists manufacturers in creating and displaying real-time dashboards
across operations. |
