Steel Making Gains in Battery Electric Vehicle Design and Production
Batteries and their necessary protection can add approximately 1500 lb. to the weight of a vehicle, a limiting factor in adoption of battery electric vehicles (BEVs), according to Bala Krishnan, director of automotive product applications for ArcelorMittal.
