Cambrio has debuted version 22 of its SigmaNest fabrication-software suite. Across-the-board improvements enhance all areas of the SigmaSuite product portfolio, according to company officials, including CAD/CAM nesting for router, bevel, punch and cut-to-length operations, and also expands Connected Shop capabilities to assist large and small fabricators.

Fanuc America, Rochester Hills, MI, has introduced the M-1000iA robot, capable of handling heavy products including automotive components, construction materials and battery packs for electric vehicles.  The robot’s serial-link construction gives it a wide range of motion in every direction.  It can extend its arm upright or rotate it backwards, not possible for typical heavy-payload robots with a parallel-link mechanism. Key specs: 1000-kg payload, 3253-mm horizontal reach and 4297-mm vertical reach.

In addition, the product names now begin with either the number 3 or 5, depending on a particular model’s performance, features or technology. Following the prefix will be the horsepower rating and, for pumps engineered with Hypertherm’s patented predictive technology, a P suffix.
