To illustrate the synergy created from its acquisition earlier this year by Misumi Group of Japan, Dayton Progress, Dayton, OH, has announced plans to acquire punch blanks from the Misumi factory complex in Vietnam. The Misumi plant is in the process of expanding and adopting the Dayton Progress blank-making process, to help realize all of the benefits of economy of scale. Dayton Progress notes that there will be no impact to the 500-plus jobs at its Dayton location.
