Three-Day Seminar to Address
Stamping-Die Binder Development

Tuesday, August 11, 2009

Attend a seminar on binder development September 21-23 in Detroit, MI, to learn how to minimize shape distortions due to springback; compensate die surfaces to accommodate for the part’s elastic relaxation after forming; and how to create an optimal die-addendum surface to result in thinner, stronger, more formable and dimensionally precise stampings. Course instructors: Ed Herman, owner of Creative Concepts Co., and John Stolter, president of Stolter, LLC. The concepts to be taught have been used on automotive-type panels stamped from mild and high-strength steels, and aluminum alloys. Herman worked previously for General Motors for 39 years in new-process development; Stolter is a product and process consultant and professional trainer, and has served as principal training consultant for the General Motors Tool & Die Supervisor College. Price: $1200. Learn more by attending a free webinar to introduce the subject on Friday, August 21, 2009, from noon to 1:00 pm. To register, call John Stolter at 586/693-0219.
