PM Tool Steel with an Integrated Surface Coating
October 1, 2009Comments
Bohler-Uddeholm introduces Uddeholm Vancron 40, a third-generation powder-metal tool steel made with a special manufacturing process and nitrogen alloying. The tool steel provides exceptional resistance to adhesive wear and galling, and proves ideal for severe cold-work applications such as powder compacting, blanking and forming. Trial results from North America and Europe indicate superior results in tool life when compared to conventional materials such as AISI D2.
