MISA Metal Fabricating, the joint-venture company that combines Marubeni and Itochu, two large Japanese steel companies, has opened a new steel-processing and fabrication center in Covington, GA, near Atlanta. It will serve the southern United States with an additional capacity of 3000-metric-tons of steel per month. It joins the original U.S. MISA facility in Louisville, KY, with similar capacity. The firm supplies tubing, unexposed automotive structural components, and a variety of stamped, drawn and rollformed parts, to manufacturers of forklifts, construction-machinery and agricultural equipment.
