Steel Company Changes Name

Marubeni-Itochu Steel America Inc., New York, NY, has changed its name to MISA. MISA maintains trading offices in 11 cities. In the United States, its trading function will operate as MISA Metal Intl., with offices in Cincinnati, Chicago, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Nashville, New York and Pittsburgh. Additional name changes will soon follow for MISA’s companies in Canada and Mexico. MISA has 20 plants run by its wholly owned U.S. subsidiaries, plus additional affiliated joint-venture operations. Its first processing plant in Mexico, a joint venture, is in the early construction phase with operations to begin in 2007. The MISA Steel Distribution Group is comprised of the following subsidiary companies: MISA Metal Blanking, MISA Metal Fabricating, MISA Metal Processing of Kentucky, MISA Metal Processing of Tennessee, and MISA Metals Inc. All together, the Steel Distribution Group accounts for ten plants in six states: Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and Tennessee.
