Stamping Reject Rate Plummets for AutoForm User

Tuesday, August 23, 2005

Franke Küchentechnik AG of Switzerland reports that its reject rate in stamping of a complex stainless-steel sink has plummeted from 14 to 2.5 percent since employing AutoForm-OneStep simulation and optimization software from AutoForm Engineering. The company uses the software for simulation of all of its new deep-drawn and stamped parts, for optimization and reengineering of existing parts, and for feasibility studies based on FEM assessments. With the software, “we can make appropriate assessments about new sink designs and their formability, we better achieve our design objectives, and we can design parts at acceptable formability limits with a lot more confidence,” says Christian Bomatter, Franke Küchentechnik development manager. AutoForm’s U.S. office, AutoForm Engineering USA, Inc., is located in Troy, MI. For more, visit www.autoform.com.
