The Lear Corp. plant in Roscommon, MI, has installed a new coil line from Coe Press Equipment Corp., Sterling Heights, MI, on a Verson 500-ton press, to upgrade its progressive-die operations. The new line, a SpaceMaster Series Compact Coil Line—Model CCL-S3-20032, combines unwinding, straightening and feeding into one compact machine. The system mounts on a common machine base, and provides true pilot-release functionality. It can process HSLA steel with yield strength to 75,000 PSI in strip to 0.125-in. thick by 28 in. wide. Maximum material width is rated to 32 in.; max. coil weight, 20,000 lb. Learn more at www.cpec.com.
