Wednesday, March 2, 2005

Magna-based Sonora Forming Technologies, Hermosillo, Mexico, has recently installed a variety of integrated coil-feeding lines from Coe Press Equipment, Sterling Heights, MI, onto Aida Dayton Technologies stamping presses. The plant employs three 42-in.-wide progressive feed lines on Aida NST 400 presses. Feed lines include a servo roll feed, 12-ft. dual-sided threading table, heavy-duty power straightener and 40,000-lb.-capacity traveling coil reel. Speed tops out at 80 ft./min. The plant also installed a 72-in.-wide high-speed blanking line with an Aida PMX 600-ton press for line speeds to 240 ft./min. Learn more at www.cpec.com.
