AK Steel Raising Prices for Stainless Alloys

AK Steel Raising Prices for Stainless Alloys

Tuesday, March 16, 2004

The AP reported last Friday (March 12) that AK Steel Corp., Middletown, OH, will raise prices, for shipments beginning on April 4, by three percent on all 200-, 300- and 400-series stainless-steel sheet, strip and plate products. In making its fourth round of price increases this year, AK cites rising costs of raw materials and energy needed for production. A note: its stock price rose 15 cents, to close at $4.94 per share, on Friday.
