Laserdyne Systems, a division of Prima North America, Champlin, MN, has received multiple orders for multi-axis laser-machining systems, totaling more than $1.6 million, from Pratt & Whitney. The laser systems will cut and drill small holes in turbine-engine components. P & W has used Laserdyne systems for more than 15 years to cut and drill in Inconel, Hastelloy and super-cobalt alloys.
