Coe Ships Press Feed Line for Fabrication of HVAC Units

Coe Press Equipment, Sterling Heights, MI, has shipped a coil handling line to a customer in Texas for feeding a 400-ton mechanical press. Part of a flexible wrapper and control panel fabrication line, the coil handling line produces 14 different sized air conditioning units. Coil stock feeds into the press in variable increments as the press stamps the louvers into the metal. The material processed: .029-in. thick CRS.

The 48-in. wide Coe line, equipped with non-marking chrome rolls and other features, handles pre-painted grade 60 material at up to 60,000 PSI. It can process materials from 0.030-in. to 0.125-in. thick depending upon the width at up to 396 ft./min. Comprised of a ServoMaster Series 4 roll feed, a 42-in. by 18-ft. dual threading table, a 3.50 by 42-in. power straightener and a 15,000-lb. by 42-in. double-ended coil reel. Additionally, it has SyncMaster controls for managing the servo feed, straightener, and coil-reel setups and functions from a touchscreen.
