February 1, 2008Comments
Peerless Industries, Melrose Park, IL, a manufacturer of audio/visual mounting products, purchased a 36-in.-wide conventional press-feed line to process brackets for plasma and projection televisions. The line, from Cooper-Weymouth, Peterson (CWP), Clinton, ME, handles stock 0.030 to 0.164 in. thick in coils to 8000 lb. It includes a ServoMax servo-roll feed, backed-up powered straightener and an exclusive lever-action roll-lift mechanism. The straightener includes a high-speed drive to provide optimum acceleration and deceleration to meet desired production rates without the use of a looping pit.
