Entron Controls Announces Mexico Joint Venture
January 1, 2016Comments
Entron Controls, LLC, Greer, SC, has announced a joint venture to manufacture and support resistance-welding controls for the Mexican automotive and industrial metalforming markets. The company, Entron de México S.A. de C.V., will be based in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico.
“Entron Controls and its sister company B.F. Entron Ltd. (formerly British Federal Electronics Division) have supplied controls into Mexico for decades, but to truly move forward in this growing market for resistance-welding controls, we needed to be manufacturing welding controls in Mexico,” says Michael S. Simmons, Entron managing partner.
“Additionally, our UK operation has a longer history in the Mexican automotive market of supplying automotive-grade weld controls, some of which have been in operation for more than 20 years at sites such as Chrysler’s (FCA) Saltillo truck manufacturing plant, and we intend to build on that history.”
