Los Angeles-based Arc Machines, Inc. (AMI), a company in the portfolio of Marwit Capital, has been sold to Esab Welding & Cutting Products, reports Livingstone, a mergers and acquisition advising firm to AMI.
AMI designs, engineers and manufactures automated, orbital gas-tungsten-arc-welding equipment and associated aftermarket components. Esab, a provider of welding and cutting equipment and systems as well as related products and services, acquired AMI to add complementary technology as well as AMI’s strong global brand, according to Livingstone officials.
AMI marked the 70th transaction Livingstone closed globally in 2016 and 23rd in the Industrial sector, one of the core M&A sectors of the firm.
