Miller Electric Mfg. Co. highlighted its new Auto-Continuum 350 and 500 power supplies for gas-metal-arc welding (GMAW), designed to deliver advanced arc performance to improve throughput and weld quality in demanding automation applications. The machines feature an adaptive arc to minimize spatter and improve gap handling, and provide increased travel speeds on a variety of base materials. The Auto-Continuum 350 (pictured) delivers 350 A at 31.5 V at 100-percent-duty cycle); the Auto-Continuum 500 provides 500 A and 39 V at 100-percent-duty cycle.

Both machines power GMAW and flux-cored welding processes, as well as advanced processes, including Miller’s Accu-Pulse and Regulated Metal Deposition processes. In addition, the machines are capable of advanced pulse processes, like the new Versa-Pulse, along with high-deposition GMAW processes.

Included is Miller’s Insight Core, an Internet-based solution that reports cell productivity and weld-parameter verification, providing basic production metrics such as amps, volts, wire-feed speed, arc-on time and arc-on time percentage.
