North American Stamping Group is the new name for Cambridge Investments, with the name change better reflecting the company’s core business and illustrating its expanding manufacturing footprint in North America. The company owns Woodstock Stampings Inc., Tennessee Stampings, LLC and Ada Stampings, LLC.

The provider of seating components, hinges, structural chassis parts and other automotive parts also announced it is building a fifth facility, a 75,000-sq.-ft. greenfield structure in Queretaro, Mexico. The stamping plant is expected to be operational by the third quarter of 2008. It will house seven progressive-die stamping lines ranging from 150 to 600 tons, with bed sizes to 144 in., augmented by an underground scrap-conveyor system. The plant also will boast resistance-welding equipment. The Queretaro operation will be supported by the company’s two existing sales and engineering centers in Portland, TN, and Woodstock, Ontario, Canada.
