Steelville Mfg. Adds New Sheet Hydroforming Press

Beckwood Press Co., St. Louis, MO, has installed a Triform sheet-hydroforming press at aerospace-industry supplier Steelville Manufacturing, Steelville, MO, a contract machine shop specializing in metalforming, milling, turning and waterjet cutting.
The Model 24-5BD press features a 24-in.-dia. forming area and 5000 PSI of forming pressure. Steelville is using the press and its flexible diaphragm to replace forming of certain parts with press brakes or with solid rubber blocks and traditional matched die sets.
