Space-Saving Dust Collector for Robotic Welding

Robotic-welding facilities now can meet air-quality regulations without losing too much floor space, thanks to the new RoboVent Spire dust collector from RoboVent, Sterling Heights, MI. Spire was specifically designed to complement the most common robotic-welding applications used in the automotive industry, though it can be applied to other industries as well.

“For automotive-parts suppliers, floorspace costs money,” explains RoboVent general manager Jim Reid. “Reducing the footprint of the dust collector allows them to maximize the productivity of their factory lines.”

Spire is a flexible, cost-effective alternative to centralized ducted systems. Each Spire unit provides filtration for an individual welding cell. Features include built-in spark arrestance; and efficient maintenance, thanks to easily accessible filters that can be changed without the use of special tools.
