Pre-Engineered, Compact Robot Work Cell

Mitsubishi Electric Automation, Inc. has introduced Aria (Automated Robotic Industrial Assistant), a pre-engineered, compact robot workcell, designed as a cost-effective solution to address labor shortages and productivity challenges. The workcell offers a payload capacity to 13 kg and reach to 1503 mm. Fully configurable and mobile, it is suitable for use as a stand-alone cell, or it can be implemented into a larger solution and offers two different base options: standard and machine-tool.
The standard-base option (pictured) is designed for various industry applications where flexibility and mobility are musts, while the machine-tool-base option can tend CNC mill, lathe and Swiss applications. Both bases are suitable for Mitsubishi Electric collaborative, vertical/articulated and SCARA robots. Included in the Aria package: an FX5 PLC, external 120-V outlet, casters with jackscrews, network switch with an external Ethernet port, operator station w/button panel, floor-mounting brackets and more. Accessory features include preprogrammed software packages, RT ToolBox3 software, Melfa Works software for robot simulation, force sensor, R86TB high-performance teach pendant and two human-machine-interface options.
