Modular Tool Changing for Robots

IPR Robotics, a designer and builder of automation components for assembly and handling, offers the new TKX tool-changer family for robots, available for pneumatic, electric and manual drive types, as part of the company’s ToolChanger3 modular system. The tool-changer family is designed to foster faster workflows and more flexible production.
With the new TKX product family, IPR Robotics has expanded its tool-changer portfolio: Features of the predecessor TK-ISO tool changer—robustness and reliability, according to company officials—have been retained in the TKX family while adding new functions.. The central innovation in this three-in-one product: The robot side of the tool changer is available with three different drive types—pneumatic (TKP), electric (TKE) and manual (TKM), making the tool side is compatible with all three robot sections.
Other product lines provided by IPR Robotics include linear axes for robots and specialized solutions.
