Impel Industries, Sterling Heights, MI, provides fabricating, prototyping and tooling services, and recently has added two hydraulic presses, one 600-ton press with an 80 by 42-in. bed and a 500-ton unit with a bed size of 60 by 42 in.

With every order, Impel provides a complete inspection package with a report from one of the company’s Brown and Sharpe coordinate-measuring machines. Inhouse laser-cutter programmers can program customers’ most difficult five-axis parts 24 hr. per day. In addition, the company designs and builds all tooling, fixtures and gauges to fit customer needs, and works with a variety of metal alloys including low-carbon steel, aluminum, copper and aircraft stainless.
