High-Rate Spring-Coiling System

For precision constant-force-spring makers, Automated Industrial Motion, Fruitport, MI, has developed the AIM 1000 spring-coiling system. Included is cassette tooling, powered wire payoff and a wire range from 0.018 to 0.08 in.

With a feed rate of 100 ft./min., the AIM 1000 allows production rates more than double that attainable with conventional equipment, according to company officials. Other advantages: high-speed coiling, rapid part changeovers and standardized tooling. The system boasts PC controls, Windows-based software, industrial touchscreens and part-homing sequences.
