PyroGenesis Canada Begins Ti AM-Powder Production

PyroGenesis Canada Inc. has announced the debut of its NexGen titanium metal-additive manufacturing (AM) powder following ahead-of-schedule successful testing for batch-to-batch consistency.

Rollout follows incorporation of improvements during development, including increased production rate and narrower particle-size distribution, according to company officials, who also note that improvements have delivered lowered production operating expenses that can be passed along to customers.

Next step: completing qualification processes for the NexGen AM powders.

PyroGenesis Additive, a division of PyroGenesis Canada, specializes in providing plasma-atomized spherical metallic powders in its NexGen process, reportedly resulting in spherical, pure, dense and highly flowable properties.
