August 30, 2021Comments
The Höganäs high-alloy facility in Johnstown, PA, has expanded operations following completion of its 24,000-sq.-ft. powder-atomization building. The facility extends production capabilities to serve markets such as additive manufacturing (AM), surface coating and metal injection molding, and assist in the company’s long-term strategy to further grow its high-alloy business.
Specifically for AM, the facility will provide powders for binder jetting to assist in positioning this technology for high-volume series production.
“This is an exciting investment by Höganäs to support future metal-powder requirements across several market segments,” says Dean Howard, president of Höganäs, Americas. “Utilizing our extensive global footprint, we will effectively meet the needs our customers to help drive application and market development.”
