EWI Launches Online Training Courses on Welding Metallurgy and Nondestructive Testing

EWI has launched two new virtual micro-credential courses through its CWB Online Learning Resources Platform. Now accepting registrations:

• Welding Metallurgy, which provides an overview of physical metallurgy, welding metallurgy of steel, and welding metallurgy of stainless steels. Each of these three parts can be completed by a student on its own for 7.5 PDH credits, or all three can be taken together to complete the Welding Metallurgy micro-credential course for 22.5 PDH credits.

• Fundamentals of Nondestructive Testing (NDT) introduces three common nondestructive evaluation technologies--surface inspection, radiography and ultrasonics--and covers applications, advantages, limitations and best practices. Each section can be completed on its own by a student for 7.5 PDH credits, or all three can be taken together to complete the Fundamentals of NDT micro-credential for 22.5 PDH credits.

Online materials include lessons, activities, exams, links to articles, digital textbooks and more. All content and supporting resources are accessible from anywhere though a single web portal.
