Ordered: The Largest Slitter in North America

A new TMK Ipsco pipe-manufacturing facility under construction in Wilder, KY, will house what’s being called the largest slitter in North America, a new 0.625- by 87-in. line. The slitter, which will be owned and operated on a toll basis for TMK Ipsco by Ferrous Metal Processing, will be capable of processing master coils from 30 to 87 in. weighing as much as 82,000 lb.
