Copper-Alloy Supplier Wieland Launches Modernization Project in Ill.

Wieland has broken ground on a $500-million modernization project,
including the addition of a state-of-the-art hot rolling mill, at its facility
in East Alton, IL. The firm supplies semi-finished copper and copper-alloy
products via a global network of more than 80 production sites and service and
trading companies.
"This investment positions Wieland as a leader in North American rolled products and underscores our commitment to the revitalization of American manufacturing," says Dr. Erwin Mayr, CEO of the Wieland Group.
The project is expected to wrap-up by mid-2028.
