Kaeser Compressors Leads in Sustainability with New Solar-Power Systems
April 8, 2025Comments
Kaeser Compressors, Inc, is taking a significant step toward sustainability by installing two new solar systems at its facilities in Fredericksburg, VA, to reduce the company’s carbon footprint while generating clean, renewable energy. The larger of the two systems will connect directly to the power supply of Kaeser’s original building, with an expected energy offset of 95%, and a smaller system link to the new power supply for the recent office expansion. Combined the two systems are projected to generate a total of 1,208,486 kWh of electricity in their first year of operation, which equates to a reduction of approximately 856 metric tons of CO2 emissions.
The energy generated by the solar systems not only will power Kaeser’s facilities but also contribute to the wider grid, and support electric-vehicle charging stations at the Fredericksburg facility.
