Wisconsin Firm Turns Tax Credit Toward Workforce Development
July 1, 2009Comments D&S Manfuacturing, Black River Falls, WI, recently received word from Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle that it had been deemed eligible for a $250,000 state income-tax credit through the Western Wisconsin Technology Zone. Eligible companies earn tax credits through capital investments, job creation and any increase in property taxes. D&S is in the midst of a $6.4 million facility expansion plan, and pledges to use its tax credit on workforce development. The company is a custom manufacturer of large-scale parts and assemblies for customers including Caterpillar, Oshkosh Corp. and The Trane Co.
