Stamper Supplying Motor Laminations for GE Locomotives
September 1, 2011CommentsGeneral Electric has delivered the first two of 100 new C30ACi locomotives it’s building for South Africa. The locomotives feature stamped AC motor laminations produced by The McGregor Metalworking Companies, Springfield, OH. Ten of the locomotives will be manufactured in Erie and Grove City, PA, and 90 will be assembled locally at Transnet Rail Engineering’s site in South Africa.
