August 30, 2022Comments
The Precision Metalforming Association Educational Foundation (PMAEF), in partnership with 14 PMA districts, is now accepting applications, through October 1, 2022, for fall scholarships of $1000 or more for high school seniors and others training for careers in manufacturing. Launched in 2020, the PMAEF scholarship program aims to strengthen local talent pipelines.
“If manufacturing is going to continue to grow, the sector must attract, train and retain the next generation of workers,” says PMA President David Klotz. “PMA is proud of the foundation and our districts for leading the way by providing these scholarships that will enable those entering the workforce to acquire essential skills needed for careers in metal forming manufacturing.”
Applicants must be a high school senior and/or formally enrolled in a post-secondary metal forming/manufacturing/technology/engineering program, trades job training, apprenticeship or a machining, CNC, tool and die, welding or stamping certificate program at an accredited institution with 20 or more contact hours.
