Indiana’s top two candidates for governor and U.S. Senate will gather with manufacturing leaders in Kokomo, IN, on October 17 to discuss their plans for the industry’s future. Several hundred owners and key managers from across the state will attend this event, hosted by PMA’s Indiana District in partnership with the Indiana Chapter of the National Tooling & Machining Association, Women in Manufacturing, the Indiana Manufacturers Association and the Wabash Valley Lean Network.

“Manufacturing is a major part of the economy in Indiana, employing over 17 percent of the state’s workforce,” says Gene Lambert, PMA district chair. “It’s fitting, then, that candidates for elected office will welcome the opportunity to talk about how they can work with manufacturers to keep our businesses competitive and successful.”
