The New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program, Inc. (NJMEP) has partnered with NJBIZ to launch the New Jersey Manufacturing Awards, to be presented as part of annual Manufacturing Day activities. Among the awards is the Raymond Hopp Award for Excellence, in memory of Raymond Hopp, former owner and CEO of metalformer HK Metalcraft Mfg. Corp., Lodi, NJ. Hopp, who passed away January 14, 2014, also served as Chairman of the Precision Metalforming Association (in 1996) and played a leadership role in numerous PMA activities. The inaugural Raymond Hopp Award for Excellence was presented to Hopp’s family—his wife Nancy and sons Charlie and Josh, president of Metalcraft.
