Thomaston, CT-based Stewart EFI Connecticut, LLC has completed its recertification audit to ISO 9001/2008 and ISO/TS 16949:2009. The metalformer, which also operates a plant in El Paso, TX, manufactures wire forms, deep-drawn parts and progressive-die and slideformed metal stampings, and performs secondary assembly, plating and metal finishing.

ISO 13485 registration for has been bestowed upon Joining Technologies, Inc., East Granby, CT, for its medical-device manufacturing quality-management system. The firm performs laser- and electron-beam welding, laser additive manufacturing and other processes. The registration audit covers, among other items, controls in the work environment to ensure product safety, and risk management and design control activities during product development.

The U.S. and Mexican facilities of Bazz Houston, a manufacturer of springs, stampings, wireforms and other custom metal products, have been registered to AS9011C, the quality-management standard covering the aerospace industry. The facilities, also ISO 901:2008 registered, are in Garden Grove, CA, and Tijuana.
