The new Jet Pack automatic air-assist spray-lubrication system, from Michigan Manufacturers Service, Inc., Wixom, MI, automatically sends a low-pressure spray of high-viscosity lubricant to the required area. Its air assist is ideal for metalworking and metalforming operations because it helps improve tool life and productivity, while reducing lubricant usage and costs.

A control-system timer regulates the duration of spray for each machine cycle, and controlled air logic ensures precise, clean, fogless application. The system is virtually maintenance-free and easily movable from machine to machine, according to company officials. Its quick-disconnect design speeds nozzle changeover on the control system.
