Custom Die-Change System Developed from Standard Components

German manufacturer Jean Müller, which manufactures some 40,000 components for distributing, controlling, securing and measuring electrical energy in low-voltage networks, has implemented a new custom die-change setup from Roemheld at its facility in Eltville am Rhein. Designed to improve the handling of heavy stamping tools, the new system consists of a Roemheld RWA 4000 die-change cart rated to 4-ton capacity, along with a die-changing table with integrated hydraulic ball bars and a pull-push system that automatically inserts the dies onto the press bed.
The hydraulic balls on the table of the changing cart are lowered to secure the die during transport, and the cart can be controlled via a central control panel on the drawbar or with a remote control. The setup includes two rack systems with eight die places to store frequently used dies close to the machine. And, a special safety docking system and roller conveyors make it easy to move and precisely position dies on all surfaces. Here are more details, on the Roemheld website.
