Mursix Acquires Aul Brothers Tool and Die

Metal former Mursix Corp., Yorktown, IN, which supplies quality-critical advanced components to a variety of industries including medical, alternative energy and automotive, has acquired Aul Brothers Tool and Die, Muncie, IN. Production of Aul Brothers products began almost immediately and will account for approximately 10% of sales, says Mursix CEO Todd Murray.
The acquisition and expansion comes as Mursix is having a record year, adds Susan Murray Carlock, vice president of business development.
“We’ve exceeded our sales goals by 200%,” she says. “We saw a growth spurt like never before in 2008-2009 (recession). We saw a growth spurt from Covid. We’ve proven we can get through tough times and come out stronger.”
Aul Brothers did “a commendable job of growing its business in the automotive water-pump space,” Todd Murray adds. “We retained every one of their employees, including the owners, and it is our intent to double that workforce (to 15) next year.”
