Johnson Controls Supports Tailored-Tube R&D Project

A research project launched in March 2014 to study the hydroforming of laser-brazed tailored steel and aluminum tubes has garnered the financial backing of Johnson Controls. The research team combines scientists from the Institute for Integrated Production and the Hanover Laser Center. Johnson Controls hopes the project can help it reduce the weight of automotive-seat backs and reduce part count.
