The Material Works, Ltd., Red Bud, IL, has announced plans to build an advanced flat-rolled toll-processing center in Osceola, AR. Construction of the 110,000-sq.-ft. facility, adjacent to the new Big River Steel mill, begins during the second quarter of 2015, with operations to begin in 2016.
Phase one of the new processing center calls for the implementation of cut-to-length and slitting lines capable of processing thin-gauge work to ½-in.-thick plate. Among the value-added services being touted is stretcher leveling.
