Dallas Industries will feature its new interactive and
advanced graphical display control for its press-feed lines, as well as a small
conventional feed line, in a shared booth with Aida-America. The new 15-in.
graphical display is designed to maximize productivity during startup and into
production by providing an HMI touch and diagnostic screen for the entire feed
line. The intuitive and easy-to-follow graphical format duplicates the machine
in operation and, say company officials, can reduce launch and setup time,
minimize changeover time and assist production by providing real-time
diagnostics.
Booth visitors also will learn how to achieve smoother feed motion through the Dallas ProfileSelect software, which uses a sinusoidal profile (cam motion) that minimizes stress on the material and mechanics. Also on display: SyncLoop controls that synchronize feeder and straightener speeds to enhance loop stability and provide for smooth loop handling; and AutoSet controls, which automatically adjust passline height, edge guides and coil guides.
