An extensive line of large compartment boxes, and optional racks to hold them, is being marketed as storage units, organizers and merchandisers by Durham Mfg. Co., Durham, CT.

The boxes serve a variety of purposes including the organization and storage of fasteners, electrical/electronic parts, plumbing specialties, spare parts and general maintenance products. They also are intended for use as merchandisers to package and attractively present assortments of a variety of components for distribution and sale.

The outer shells of the boxes are fabricated of steel with hinged covers, and carrying handles fitted with positive pull-down latches. They measure 18 in. wide by 12 in. deep by 3 in. high. Plastic insert trays available in eight fixed compartment configurations and three adjustable compartment configurations are fitted in outer shells. A plastic sleeve for the inside of covers to hold and protect planograms, inventory sheets or instructions is an option.

Racks to hold boxes consist of a steel cabinet with sliding cradles in which boxes are securely nested and are designed to permit full extension without the danger of tipping despite box loading of as much as 40 lb. A two-box rack measures 20 in. wide by 15¾ in. deep by 81⁄8 in. high.

A four-box rack measures 20 in. wide by 15¾ in. deep by 15 in. high. A second four-box rack measures 20¼ in. wide by 12½ in. deep by 15 in. high and is designed for situations where available placement space is a problem. Boxes are easily removed from cabinets for transportation to a jobsite.
