Quick-Change Tube-Cutting System

Comments New-Form Tools, Stratford, Ontario, Canada, will display its patented Quick Change tube-cutting system, developed to help tube and pipe manufacturers improve productivity. With the system, cut-off blades can be changed in less than 10 sec. and jaw systems in less than 60 sec. It can increase mill uptimes by as much as 1 to 2 hr./day, according to company officials, resulting in an additional 300 to 600 hr. of running time per year on each tube mill. Quick Change blades, jaws and cross-cut systems may be retrofitted into existing online or offline die sets.
