Waterjet-systems manufacturer Jet Edge, Inc., St. Michael, MN, introduces its variable-aperture Permalign V-Series Mini Hopper. By allowing waterjet operators to easily make adjustments to abrasive flow, minimizing abrasive consumption, the hopper promises to increase cutting productivity and profitability. Its water-resistant design helps prevent annoying abrasive clogs that can cause stoppages and scrapping of expensive material. Built for the harsh abrasive-jet environment, the Permalign V-Series does not require an enclosure, allowing for clean operation.

The mini hopper is infinitely adjustable between 0.10 and 2 lb./min., and features improved venting of excess abrasive. It’s available as a replacement part for all Jet Edge abrasive waterjet-cutting machines.
