Tedco, Inc., a Cranston, RI-based manufacturing company supplying precision-formed stampings, has been awarded the Business Affected by Foreign Trade grant by the New England Trade Adjustment Assistance Center (NETAAC), in partnership with the Economic Development Administration.
The grant will provide funding to Tedco to increase productivity throughout various departments, including production, sales and marketing, and administration. Increased productivity in these areas will allow Tedco to compete more efficiently on a global scale.
“NETAAC has afforded Tedco the opportunity to scale our administrative and productive operations to become more efficient,” says Dona Vincent, Tedco president. “We’ll be able to take an in-depth look at the current processes at work in our organization and invest in improving them long-term to contribute to continued growth.”
NETAAC was formed to aid New England manufacturing companies that have been negatively impacted by import trade. Qualifying businesses receive financial assistance through a cost-sharing model that helps to fund business-building consulting projects. These projects can include marketing and positioning strategies, e-commerce, lean manufacturing implementation, and ISO compliance and registration initiatives.
