Small Robots Ready for Work in Tight Spaces
October 18, 2016Comments
Italy-based Comau presents the extension of its small robot family for quick applications in restricted spaces, including material handling, machine tending, assembly and pick-and-place, by introducing two new robots: the Racer 5-0.63 and Racer 5-0.80. Both are controlled by the R1C 19-in. rack-mounted controller, which can be integrated into a single cabinet to control an entire line.
Both new robot models are built on the Racer 3 platform, offering solutions that share the same components and parts in a strategy aimed at expanding the integrated range of robots. Model 5-0.63 features a reach of 630 mm and payload of 5 kg; Model 5-0.80, also rated for a payload of 5 kg, has an extended reach of 809 mm.
