Punching App Simplifies Calculations, Supports Fabricators

The new PunchGuide mobile-device app from Trumpf puts the most important punching parameters at the fingertips of production supervisors, engineers and operators. Designed for use with smartphones and tablet PCs, PunchGuide offers support for a variety of calculations including punching force, cutting clearance, prepunching diameters, maximum edge length, stripper selection, and calculations for sheetmetal-thickness conversion and sheet weight. It also supports use of combination punch-laser machines. Users can specify whether the results are given in metric or inch units of measure, and also can store data for their own machines for future use.

The app is available in German, English, French, Italian, Spanish, Czech and Chinese.
